Buhari passes on, in London Clinic

The immediate past Nigeria's President, Muhammadu Buhari is dead.

He reportedly died on Sunday, July 13, 2025 in a London clinic, following a protracted illness.

His spokesman, Garba Shehu, announced the eternal departure of his boss in the afternoon of same day, on his social media handle.

“The family of the former president has announced the passing on of the former president, Muhammadu Buhari, this afternoon in a clinic in London. Shehu posted.

“May Allah accept him in Aljannatul Firdaus, Amin." He prayed.

Former President Buhari was twice elected Nigeria’s President in 2015 and 2019, consecutively.

He also previously served as military head of state between January 1984 and August 1985.

President Bola Tinubu has reportedly ordered flags at half-staff for seven days as a mark of respect for the departed Nigerian leader.
