If you are a single mother, and intend to settle down with a man someday, it isn't ideal to publicly disclose your status unless when necessary.
The social media has made women to invariably run to the public domain and inform people of their lifestyle and daily activities. While you do this, either for cruise or necessity, endeavour to keep some facts away from the public digest.
Prior to disclosing your 'single mother' status, you must have built a healthy relationship. Allow a man fall in love with you before bringing such a fact to his knowledge.
A man who truly loves you will never go away having eventually noted the real you. But if he leaves, it signifies he doesn't truly care, or you two aren't meant to be together. In a case like this, don't be bothered by the incident, because it's important it happened at such a stage than when you have settled with him.
Meet a man, and freely fall in love, before bringing him in the know of your status, or bad past. This is ideal and advisable.
If a man already knows your status as a single mother, he would try hard not to establish a serious relationship, let alone thinking of tying a nuptial knot, with you. It's only a man who had had failed relationships or marriages that would intentionally plan of settling with you, having earlier known your status as a single mother; and such a circumstance might not be healthy for you as a woman.
Some ladies would like to tell their real status from the beginning of the relationship, just to prove a point; to prove to the man that they are 'clean and sincere'. No, that isn't sincerity.
It's only harmful when you failed to disclose your status before getting married with him. Once you have built a relationship together, and you're convinced of his feelings towards you, then the time is ripe to notify him of your past.
Please, ensure you do not disclose such a status after marriage. This is the harmful part of it. You must let your partner realize who you are before marriage sets in.
Thread with caution, be wise, and remain strong.
Yours truly,
