The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has announced the commencement of its online registration for the Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (Post-UTME) screening exercise for the 2025/2026 academic session.
According to the press release signed by the varsity's Registrar,
The announcement was signed by Mrs V. Abosede Wickliffe, the application, which applies to all undergraduate programmes, would run from 28th July to 20th August 2025.
Candidates who selected the University as their first-choice institution in the 2025 UTME and scored a minimum of 200 are eligible to apply. Additional requirements include five credit passes at a single sitting in relevant O-level subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.

Only candidates who uploaded their O-level results on or before 12 September 2025 would be considered for the screening exercise.
Those who would not have attained the age of 16 by 30th September 2025 were considered ineligible by the notice.
The university also stated that applicants who do not participate in the online aptitude test would not be admitted.
Candidates must register using their personal and active email addresses, which would serve as the primary channel for communication throughout the process.
Former students previously withdrawn due to academic failure or prolonged absence may reapply, but only for programmes different from their earlier enrolment. However, students previously expelled from the institution remain ineligible for re-admission.
Mock examinations are scheduled to hold online from 25th to 27th August 2025, ahead of the official Post-UTME test from 1st to 5th September 2025.

In a cautionary note, the University reiterated its zero-tolerance policy on drug abuse, warning that any admitted candidate who tests positive for drug use —whether before or after registration — would have their admission withdrawn.
